Kristine Schachinger

This is part of the say something nice about an SEO/SEM series - feel free to nominate someone over here.

Kristine Schachinger lives in Las Vegas, Nevada and has been in the SEO and online marketing world for over 20 years. Kristine tells me that her family's claim to fame is that her mom danced for the Copa Cabana with Jimmy Durante and also was on the Ed Sullivan Show once. Kristine is also a pretty well-known SEO, but I have no idea about her dancing skills.

Kristine is a name those in the industry probably recognize, she is always sharing, asking questions, trying to find the answers around what is new in the SEO space. She frequently posts on both Twitter and Facebook, often is contributing content to industry publications, always eager and willing to speak at industry conferences and very friendly with the people from the industry.

She is an example of what it means to give to the community. She has helped countless people both on a one-by-one basis and also in masses through her content and talks. Standing out as a someone who shares in the SEO industry is hard, because so many people share so much, but Kristine does stand out because of her level of intensity on what and how she shares.

Kristine thanks for everything you do, leep up the good work!

Simon Heseltine nominated Kristine and wrote:

Kristine has been in the search space for a very long time, working as a consultant for a variety of clients. She's someone who delights in sharing her knowledge and experience, either through conference presentations, articles on SEL, SEW,etc. podcasts, or in public and private groups on Facebook.

I personally know several of her clients, and they've been delighted with the results she's helped them achieve.

Being a solo practitioner in this industry is not an easy path to take, but it's a path she's both taken and more than survived on, so she absolutely deserves some recognition from the industry

Kristine Schachinger Bio: Kristine Schachinger has over 20 years digital experience including a focus on website design and implementation, accessibility standards and all aspects of website visibility involving SEO, social media and strategic planning. She additionally specializes in site health auditing, site forensics, technical SEO and site recovery planning especially when involving Google algorithms such as Penguin and Panda. Her twenty years in design and development and fourteen years in online marketing give her a depth and breadth of understanding that comes from a broad exposure to not only digital marketing, but the complete product life-cycle along with the underlying technology and processes. She is a well known international speaker, author, and can be found on LinkedIn.

Favorite thing about the SEM community? The feeling of community, friendship, and family. I think for an industry the has no governing body. No union. No common connections except job titles and conferences. Yet, the feeling of family and community is something that is uniquely special. No SEO can stand alone. There is too much too know and there is too much to do. Having an industry where others are not just colleagues, but close and dear friends makes all the difference for me and I cannot think of any field I would rather have spent most of my adult life in.

One piece of advice to the SEOs out there? Learn all you can. Being a good SEO means being passionate about your knowledge. Your knowledge is your product. Learn what you don't know and refresh regularly, what you do.

Favorite things in general? Anything with gluten because I can no longer eat gluten ;). Thing to do? Ok I know I am going to seem like such a geek here, but SEO/Marketing conferences. I have gotten to see some of the best places in the US and the world with some of the most interesting, fun, and generous people I have met in life. Conferences are my life line.

On the day to day I live in Vegas. There is so much to do here that I love I could not possibly list them all in the space this article allows. However my most favorite things to do here are movies, Irish pubs, pool time, dancing, shows, and being outdoors.

What you want to be known for in the SEO space? A person who is knowledgeable and helpful. That I am giving back to a community that has given me a great deal. That others feel they can rely on me and that I can help other SEOs in the ways they help me.

To learn more about Kristine, you can connect with her on LinkedIn and follow her on Twitter.
