Google: No Plans To Build A Mobile Interstitials Testing Tool

Table Google 1900px

As you know, Google announced a new penalty coming at the beginning of the 2017 year for downgrading intrusive mobile interstitials. Yesterday we asked if you think Google should make a mobile interstitials testing tool and over 75% of you said yes.

But it doesn't look like this tool is on the road map at Google.

Kenichi Suzuki asked Google's Kazushi Nagayama about this and he said no, they won't be adding it to the Google Search Console or mobile usability reports.

The Q&A is in Japanese but Kenichi translated it for me:

He asked if the intrusive interstitials can be checked in the mobile friendly testing tool or the mobile usability report. Google's Kazushi responded, "no no." Adding "you'll see whether interstitials are intrusive or not pretty easily if you look at the page."

So I guess not, sorry folks.
