Google My Business Guidelines Prohibits Irrelevant Content In Business Description

Google has added a line to the business description guidelines within the Google My Business guidelines basically making it clear that they do not allow the description to contain irrelevant content.

The new line that was added was "Content that's irrelevant to your business or has no clear association with it isn't allowed. Refer to our overall guidelines for representing your business on Google."

Joy Hawkins posted about this in the Local Search Forums - she said "I'll be honest--I can't really see any use case where someone would want to add irrelevant content but there is always a reason for guideline changes so I wanted to make sure you were all aware."
