Google Mobile Phone

Sometimes, espesially on Android devices, when you search Google, you may see a link for "instant apps." This actually dates back to 2015 when Google let you try apps without installing them, they called it app "streaming." But I guess now they call them "instant apps."

Typically you would see these links in the Google Play store to try out the app before you install it on your device. But sometimes they also show in Google mobile search on Android devices.

Franco Valentino posted an example on Twitter:

Google Search Instant App

When clicked on, it loads the app without officially installing it on your device.

Google said "Google Play Instant Apps are Play Store apps you can open before requiring installation. If you like the app you can download and purchase it if necessary from the Play Store."

Do you see these often in mobile search in Google?
