Melissa Fach

This is part of the say something nice about an SEO/SEM series - feel free to nominate someone over here.

Melissa Fach, 43 years old, lives with her husband and two beautiful sons in Sarasota, Florida. Melissa is a name and face most of you who read this site probably recognize. She is constantly out there on social media and at conferences and guest blogging with a drive to help the SEO community do better and get smarter. Kind, compassionate, caring, driven and generous are all adjectives I'd use to describe her. She is also a wicked good SEO, with very good writing skills and passionate about sharing all of that on the Twitter, Facebook and other platforms.

It is awesome that Melissa has and continues to share all this knowledge with us in the community on a daily basis. Thank you!

Melissa has two nominations thus far, they include:

Kate Morris who wrote:

Melissa is one of the warm, caring people that lights up a room. I first latched onto her because we have a shared love of tigers. She posted to Twitter when she would volunteer with a tiger rescue. I was enthralled. Then I started speaking at PubCon and she is the kind of person I want to be, one that makes everyone feel like it is her birthday when she sees you. She welcomes everyone and communicates so well in the industry. We lost someone else like this in the last few years and it would be a mistake not to mention how much she means to me and all of us now. Thank you for this opportunity to do so.

Melissa Fach Bio: Bio- I am the Social and Community Manager at Pubcon, the blog editor at SEMrush, and I work as a consultant with a few select clients. I got into the SEO field in 2005 and helped clients develop online marketing plans, optimized websites, and content. In 2010 I started moving more into the social and community realm. I was the managing editor at SEJ and managed their social and them moved on to Moz, editing and social. I also worked with AuthorityLabs for 4 years. I have been with Pubcon since 2015 and it has been the best work experience of my life. I work with great people and the community is nothing short of amazing.

Favorite thing about the SEO community? We all have each other's backs during the hard times. We may not agree on everything, but we stand as one when it is needed.

One piece of advice to the SEOs out there? Never stop learning, and this doesn't pertain to just SEO. Expand into areas you don't know and have diverse skillset. It will come in handy.

Favorite things in general? My favorite things to do - hold my husband's hand, watch the UFC, and hang with family.

What you want to be known for in the SEO space? I want to be known and remembered for being kind; a safe place for anyone that needs it.

You can learn more about Melissa on Twitter or at her personal sites MelissaFach.com and SEOAware.com.
