Google Sending Unexpected Foreign Traffic To Web Sites?

I am receiving reports via email and I am seeing them in the forums, including WebmasterWorld that something changed with Google's search results where they are now showing more foreign results in their search results. This means that if you search in the US, you are more likely to see web sites from outside of the US and if you search from within the UK, you are more likely to see results from the US or other sites outside of the UK.

Senior WebmasterWorld member Martin Ice Web said, "German serps are full of foreign sites. Even us, uk and in sites show up. Something must be messed up or something is going through." Another webmaster replied saying "I am seeing more than the typical amount of foreign traffic on my USA site. A lot of traffic from Bahrain, Japan, etc."

The email I received this morning said "I work for a UK based agency. I have been searching Google for certain terms this morning for our clients and it looks like we are been served US results."

Have you noticed Google sending unwanted foreign traffic to your site this morning? It seems to be a big concern for some webmasters.
