Google Tells Techmeme "Were Sorry" Regarding False Positives In Search Console

A couple days ago, I reported how the founder of Techmeme was complaining about the false positive errors on Google Search Console around hacked spam.

It clearly hit Google's radar, mostly because Matt Cutts took notice, and John Mueller from Google apologized about the issue and said the team at Google is investigating.

John wrote, "We've been taking a look at this on our side, to see what all happened there. Sorry about the confusion there!"

This is after Gabe Rivera from Techmeme complained about Google even labeling their internal links as having issues:

Good to know people, eh?

Either way, I assume the way Techmeme is set up is a bit of a challenge for Google to handle. So they need to fix something on their end or make a whitelist of some sorts for them.
