Here is a recap of what happened in the search forums today, through the eyes of the Search Engine Roundtable and other search forums on the web.

Search Engine Roundtable Stories:

  • Google September 2019 Core Update Is Live But Seems Slow To Roll Out
Google began rolling out the September 2019 Core Update yesterday at around 2pm ET. I've been tracking the SEO industry chatter since and so far the chatter seems somewhat limited. There are some noticing big changes but for the most part, it seems like it is rolling out very slowly.
  • Vlog #17: Wil Reynolds On Google Stealing Clicks Through Google Ads & More
Wil Reynolds (@wilreynolds) the founder of Seer Interactive started doing SEO 20 years ago...
  • Google Delivers On Webmasters Request To Control Search Result Snippets
I am not sure if you remember, but back in May Danny Sullivan shared screen shots from a Google Ranking Fair where he shared SEO and webmaster concerns. One of those concerns was "Webmasters want more control over sitelinks, titles, snippets, mixing images and text in featured snippets, rich snippets, knowledge panels, opt out of featured snippets and more." Google will throttle back, in order to test to see how fast it can crawl your site without impacting your server in a negative way.
  • Google: Emailing Google For SEO Support Never Works
Gary Illyes from Google said last night on Twitter that emailing Google for support with your SEO and your ranking problems in Google never really works. He said "That's impossible" when someone claimed that emailing Google did help his ranking issues.
  • Google Knowledge Panels With Translation Feature
Google's John Mueller hinted a couple years ago that Google may decide to translate knowledge panels and/or featured snippets in other languages when applicable. I have not seen this happen until today when Gianluca Fiorelli shared this happening to him.
  • Free GoogleBot Stickers From Gary Illyes In Boston On Thursday
If you love SEO, love Google, and love GoogleBot, you may want to take a trip up to Boston tomorrow and meet Gary Illyes from Google. He is giving out GoogleBot stickers, the ones you see above in th
