New Test: Google AdWords Expanded Text Ads

Ginny Marvin posted at Search Engine Land a screen shot she found of the new Google AdWords expanded headlines.

In this Google AdWords test, Google has expanded the headline to two lines that wraps and the description is now up to 80 characters, which gives you 47% more space.

Amy Middleton Hebdon added some data on the changes:

The longer text, Ginny is calling "Expanded Text Ads." Google also gave them a comment saying:

We regularly test different ad formats with the goal of providing useful information to users and driving even better results for advertisers. Beyond that, we don’t have anything to announce at this time.

I wouldn't be surprised if this test launches for everyone soon.
