Bing Adds More Intelligent Search Features

Bing Smart

Bing announced this week, as I covered at Search Engine Land, that they launched new intelligent search features. Here is a quick run down on those features:

Bing will now aggregated facts across multiple sources for a given topic:

A new mouse hover-over definitions feature for uncommon words:

Bing will give you multiple answers for how-to questions, which should be interesting. I asked Bing for a screen shot but they were unable to give me this.

They upgraded their image search object detection zoom feature to add in top fashion categories:

Bing also explained how they use Intel hardware to power their AI features. They said "we built it on a deep learning acceleration platform, called Project Brainwave, which runs deep neural networks on Intel® Arria® and Stratix® Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) on the order of milliseconds."
