Google Store Open

Google sometimes shows labels in the local panel for businesses but one I never saw was a "recently opened" label. Thibault Adda spotted this for a query on [longhorn steakhouse oswego il] and shared a screen shot on Twitter.

Here is the screen shot as I was able to replicate it:

Google Local Panel Recently Opened

Google clearly thinks it is important to label recently opened up restaurants as such, as to give the searcher a bit more information about the place they might visit.

In my experience, new restaurants always have kinks to work out, so waiting it out a few weeks or months is always best.

Do you find this label a good or bad or neutral thing for local businesess?
